1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Polybyte Labs GbR, represented by its partners Christian Thomé and Sebastian Höpfl.

Polybyte Labs GbR
Gutenbergstraße 10
59174 Kamen
Germany

Email: info@polybytelabs.com

A data protection officer has not been appointed, as the legal requirements for a mandatory appointment under Art. 37 GDPR and § 38 BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act) are currently not met.

2. Website Delivery and Server Data

To deliver a requested page, the web server must technically process, in particular, the IP address of the requesting device. In addition, date and time, the requested file, the amount of data transferred, the referrer, browser and operating system information, and the access status may be processed.

This processing serves the delivery of the website, its stability, and IT security. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in providing this website securely and reliably.

The website is operated on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The servers are located in Germany. Processing takes place on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR with the hosting provider. No transfer to third countries outside the EU or EEA takes place in the context of hosting.

Server log data is stored only as long as required for the provision and security of operations or as long as legal obligations require further retention, and is then deleted or anonymized.

3. Local Fonts, Images, and Videos

This website loads fonts, images, and videos from its own web presence. The fonts Inter, Montserrat, and Orbitron are provided locally. Loading these resources therefore does not establish a connection to Google Fonts or any other font provider.

4. Contact by Email or Contact Form, Careers, and Collaboration

You can reach us by email or via the contact form on this website. Only when you actively send a message do we process the data you provide – for the form, that is your name, email address, and the content of your message – in order to handle your request. Required fields are marked as such; all further information is voluntary.

This also applies to inquiries about careers, freelance collaboration, and possible future applications. We only process the information and documents that you yourself submit by email. Please do not send sensitive personal documents or confidential project materials unless specifically asked to.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the inquiry serves the initiation or performance of a contract. For other inquiries, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in responding to the contact request.

The data is deleted once the request has been conclusively handled and no statutory retention obligations or legitimate grounds for further storage exist.

Form submissions are delivered directly to our mailbox and are not stored on the web server; to prevent abuse (spam protection), the sender's IP address is processed briefly in memory and not stored. Email traffic is handled via our own mail server operated on infrastructure of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. No transfer of the contents to third-party providers outside the EU or EEA takes place.

5. External Links

Individual pages link to external offerings, such as partner or professional information sites. A connection to these providers is only established when you actively open the respective link. The external provider's privacy information applies to any subsequent processing.

6. Cookies, Browser Storage, and Tracking

As currently implemented, this website does not use its own cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, or social media plugins. The source code does not access local storage or session storage. A consent banner is therefore currently not used.

The website does not embed external maps, video platforms, or comparable media that would transmit data to third parties when a page is simply opened.

7. Recipients and Third Countries

The recipient of technical connection data is our hosting provider Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) as a processor. Further recipients only arise where necessary for email communication, the performance of contracts, legal obligations, or the enforcement of legal claims.

No personal data is transferred to third countries outside the EU or EEA.

8. Rights of Data Subjects

Under the statutory conditions, you have in particular the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and objection (Art. 21 GDPR).

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.

Objection to Processing Based on Legitimate Interests

You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

9. Right to Lodge a Complaint

Pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For companies based in North Rhine-Westphalia, you may in particular contact the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (North Rhine-Westphalia Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information).

10. Obligation to Provide Data and Automated Decisions

The transmission of technical connection data is required to access the website. Contacting us by email or via the contact form is voluntary; without the information required for a reply, a request may not be processable.

No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, takes place via this website.

11. Version and Changes

Version: August 2026. This statement will be updated when the website, infrastructure, or data processing changes.

The structure of this information follows the transparency obligations of the General Data Protection Regulation.

This English version is a convenience translation. The German Datenschutzerklärung remains legally authoritative.
